As our studio continues to grow, periodically we are looking to expand our team.
Studio Internships
Involve in all technical aspects of a working clay studio. All training is provided by our experienced staff.
We are looking for help with loading and unloading kilns
studio matinence/ working on kilns/ cleaning/ building
glaze making
clay recycling
flexi-bat orders
being a second set of hands for studio events and parties
Commitment- We ask that interns can do at least 3 hours per week or 12 hours per month. A minimum commitment of 3 months is appreciated.
Compensation- is given in the form of clay, some materials, and for unlimited studio time to pursue your own clay work. Includes studio access, 25 lbs of clay with glazes and firings, and shelf space for each month worked.
Qualifications: We are looking for individual(s) currently enrolled in a college level ceramic arts program, with experience working with clay. Interest in learning ceramic technical skills is required; prior experience is helpful but not necessary.
Employment opportunities
Working in a ceramic studio is a dynamic role. Positions/ work are continuously evolving as the studio needs change. Positions typically include teaching opportunities, managerial work, art and illustration work using an iPad or illustrator, and studio tech/ maintenance. Schedules DO include some nights and weekends.
